The goal is to score as many points as possible over the season. You earn points in the same way teams do in real life:

• 3 points for a win
• 1 point for a draw
• 0 points for a loss

You score the points that your selected team earns in their real-life fixture for that gameweek. However, you can only select each team twice per season — once when they're playing at home, and once when they're away.

The winner is the player with the most points at the end of the season. If there's a tie, the following tiebreakers apply, in order:

• Higher goal difference
• Higher total goals scored
• Still tied? Then it's considered a draw between those players.

The league tables indicates your position throughout the season.

Yes — each team can only be selected once in a home fixture and once in an away fixture. Aside from that, you're free to pick any team you have available.

No — Prempix is a skill-based competition. The main game and private leagues are free to play and do not offer cash prizes. We also offer an optional “Prize League” that awards cash prizes to the top players at the end of the season. This league has a small entry fee (£4.99), but a free postal entry route is available. Because the outcome relies on skill and a free entry route exists, Prempix is not classified as gambling.

Go to the Play section. You'll see a list of teams available for selection. Click on the button of the team you want to choose and confirm your pick.

You'll see your selected team displayed at the top of the Play screen. Teams that are unavailable to you (because you've already selected them) will have their buttons disabled.

You can pick or change your team up until 1 hour before the first fixture of the gameweek.

After the deadline, the gameweek locks. The next gameweek usually opens shortly after, allowing you to make your next pick.

Yes — you can change your pick as many times as you like before the weekly deadline.

You'll make 40 total selections across a 38-week season (each team twice). This means you can make extra selections in some weeks. To do this:

• From Gameweeks 1–20, you can only make one selection per week.
• From Gameweek 21 onwards, you can make up to two selections per week, provided you still have extra picks available.
• From Gameweek 35 onwards, you can use any remaining selections without a weekly limit.

Don't worry — the game will auto-select a default team for you.

This will be the first available team alphabetically, prioritising a home fixture if that team is playing more than once.

You can still change your selection before the deadline.

You must pick each team once at home and once away.

If you haven't selected a team before their final game of the season, the game will automatically pick the team for you and the selection cannot be removed. This ensures all 40 picks are completed.

If a selected team's fixture is postponed:

• You can select that team again in a future gameweek.
• If the postponement is announced before the deadline, you can reselect another team.
• If it happens after the deadline or you don't make another pick, you'll be given an extra selection to use later in the season (from Gameweek 21 onwards).

If none of your remaining teams are playing in a given gameweek, no selection will be made.

You'll be granted an extra selection to use in a future gameweek (starting from Gameweek 21).

Click on any player in a league table to view:

• All teams they've already selected
• Teams still available to them

Their pick for the current gameweek becomes visible once the selection deadline has passed.

Yes! You can create or join private leagues to compete with friends, family, or coworkers.

Just create a league and share the code with the people you want to compete against.
